1. Acceptance
prints.fyi (the "Service") is an independently operated project. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to use a personal email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.
3. Compensation submissions
You may submit compensation data only if it relates to your own employment history or current role, to the best of your knowledge, and is accurate. Submitting falsified, misleading, or third-party compensation data is prohibited and may result in account termination.
Your representations on submission. By submitting compensation data you represent and warrant that (a) the data relates to your own employment, (b) you are not subject to any contractual, statutory, or fiduciary obligation that prohibits sharing the information you submit (or, to the extent you may be, you have determined in good faith that the submission is permitted or that any such restriction is unenforceable), (c) you submit voluntarily and without coercion, and (d) the information does not contain proprietary trade secrets, confidential client information, or material non-public information.
By submitting data, you grant prints.fyi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, aggregate, anonymize, and create derivative statistics from that data to operate and improve the Service. You retain ownership of your raw submissions and may edit or delete them within 90 days of submission via your account page; after that window the submission is locked from edits but you may still request removal via hello@prints.fyi.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download the Service or its underlying data
- Use automated systems to submit data or create accounts
- Attempt to re-identify individual contributors from aggregated data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any individual or employer
- Use the Service or its data for commercial recruiting outreach, solicitation, or talent acquisition without prior written permission
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute Service data without written permission
5. Firm names, logos, and nominative use
References to financial-services firms, their names, divisions, office locations, and title taxonomies are used for nominative purposes only — to identify the subject of third-party-submitted compensation data. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any commercial relationship with any firm referenced. Firm names and any logos displayed remain the property of their respective owners and are used to identify the subject of statistical aggregates submitted by users, not as commercial endorsement or trademark licensing.
We reserve the right to remove any firm, group, office, title, or submission from the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, and without liability.
6. Takedown requests + DMCA
If you believe content on the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, contains your trade-secret information, or otherwise warrants removal, send a takedown request to hello@prints.fyi with: (a) identification of the content and its URL on the Service, (b) identification of the basis for removal (copyright, trade secret, personal data, etc.), (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement that the request is made in good faith and that you are authorized to make it.
We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and review in good faith. We may remove or modify content while the request is under review. We may forward the request, with redactions for submitter identifying information, to affected contributors.
7. Not advice
The Service is for informational purposes only. Nothing on the Service is or should be interpreted as financial, investment, tax, legal, employment, career, recruiting, or HR advice. Compensation aggregates are statistical estimates derived from voluntary, self-reported data and may differ materially from actual firm policies, ranges, or individual outcomes.
Do not rely on the Service when making employment, compensation negotiation, hiring, or other decisions. Consult qualified professional advisors for advice specific to your situation.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or otherwise harms the Service, other users, or third parties. You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@prints.fyi. On account deletion, your account identifiers are removed; the link between your past submissions and your account is severed so that the submissions become unattributed contributions to the aggregate dataset.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.
Compensation figures are self-reported by individual contributors and are not verified by employers. "Verified" status confirms only that the contributor demonstrated control of a corporate email address at a referenced firm at the time of verification — it does not confirm employment, role, level, group, or compensation accuracy.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator(s) of the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, business, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event will the operator's aggregate liability arising from or related to these Terms or the Service exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator(s) of the Service from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to (a) your submissions to the Service, (b) your breach of these Terms, (c) your violation of any law or third-party right (including any obligation of confidentiality, NDA, or fiduciary duty owed to your employer or former employer), or (d) your use of the Service in violation of its acceptable-use rules.
12. Governing law + disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which the operator(s) reside, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and the operator(s) agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
Nothing in this section limits any right you may have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot be waived by agreement.
13. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator(s) regarding the Service.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by direct notice to active users. Continued use after such updates constitutes acceptance.
